Long-term exposure to air pollution and cardiovascular
VOM. Volatile organic material Maternal exposure to air pollutant PM2.5 and PM10 during pregnancy and risk of congenital heart defects. For each study participant, we assigned 1-month and 1-week averages of PM10 and PM2.5 exposure based on measurements obtained from the nearest exposure monitor to the living residence of mothers during their early pregnancy period. PM10 (particles with a diameter of 10 micrometres or less): these particles are small enough to pass through the throat and nose and enter the lungs. Once inhaled, these particles can affect the heart and lungs and cause serious health effects. Particulate matter such as PM10, PM2.5, PM1, and PM0.1 is defined as the fraction of particles with an aerodynamic diameter smaller than respectively 10, 2.5, 1 and 0.1 µm (for your information: 1 µm = 1 millionth of a meter or 1 thousandth of a millimeter).

The major av K Hugosson · 2020 — indoor and outdoor concentrations: NO2, CO2, PM10 and PM2.5 Abstract: Air pollution is a hazard to human health and especially This indicator analyses the transport emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) and particulate matter (PM10), Free Global Air Quality map (PM2.5, PM10). Check air quality data from Atmotube devices and weather stations near you. Atmotube is a wearable, portable Access to current air pollution, forecasts and historical data in JSON format. A variety of pollutant parameters are available including PM2.5, PM10, CO, NO, and This study investigated the impact of short-term lockdown during the period from March 15th to April 12th 2020 on the atmospheric levels of CO, SO2, PM10, O3, ovr, 14:2019, Long-Term Exposure to Particulate Air Pollution, Black Carbon, and ovr, 12:2019, Driftåtgärder mot PM10 i Stockholm 2017-2018 Utvärdering av weather data. These pollutants are: 1) carbon monoxide (CO), 2) lead (Pb), 3) nitrogen dioxide (NO 2), 4) ozone (O 3), 5) particulate matter (this is broken down into particulate matter less than 10 microns in diameter (PM 10) and particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter (PM 2.5)) and 6) sulfur dioxide (SO 2). For each of these six criteria Adverse health consequences to air pollution can occur as a result of short- or long-term exposure. The pollutants with the strongest evidence of health effects are particulate matter (PM), ozone (O 3), nitrogen dioxide (NO 2) and sulphur dioxide (SO 2).
Estimated health impacts of changes in air pollution exposure
Authors Standard methods for collecting PM10 and PM2.5 are reported somwhere else (EN 12341, US 40 CFR Part 53). These PM fractions are mostly used for air quality assessment. Cite The overall air pollution index for a site or region is determined by the highest concentration of five pollutants: Nitrogen Dioxide; Sulphur Dioxide; Ozone; Particles < 2.5µm (PM 2.5) Particles < PM10 Information Page : PM10 (Particulate Matter): A major air pollutant consisting of tiny solid or liquid particles of soot, dust, smoke, fumes, or mists.

av M Korek · 2015 — Air pollution is an important environmental health factor contributing to the Corresponding hazard ratios for PM10 were 1.14 (0.68-1.90) and
av O Gruzieva · 2012 · Citerat av 115 — Results were similar by using PM10. No associations between air pollution exposure after the first year of life and sensitization were seen. We offer measurements of particle concentrations (PM10 and PM2.5) and measurements and measurements of other atmospheric pollutants. From research on PM 2.5 and PM 10 in 2007/2008 in the Netherlands, it was Evaluating urban PM10 pollution benefit induced by street cleaning activities.
